MiniVentura
Are the Front indicator lenses on the caterham the same as the front lenses on the old mini. Looking to get a clear set!
Dave McCulloch
Believe they're Land Rover Defender items - so you need a front sidelight lens. Dave
Chelspeed
Yep, Landrover parts, but also available from Caterham parts dept or Vehicle Wiring Products. You also need amber bulbs, either amber coloured lenses or the max power ones. These are silver when they're off and amber when they're on, one type is called silver tec, this avoids the yellow of the bulb showing thro the clear lens when they're off, the "fried egg look". Amber bulbs come normally with one of the fitting pins offset, if you get this type you'll need to file it off and just use the one pin to fit it. Or if you go to a specialist they'll give you a choice of in line or offset pins.
Vortex
Europa also stock them - they're listed as Land Rover Clear, p/n LRC and price is £11.18 each Much cheaper at VWP - p/n LSL015 @ £4.93 each! Cheers, Ed
MiniVentura
Ed.Whats VWP? Is there a link or contact number?
GTD
VWP = Vehicle Wiring Products www://vehicle-wiring-products.co.uk - Look under Lighting:Rear Side and Indicator lights. Do a Control/F to find 'LSL015' OK - so I worked that out for myself, but could someone tell me if I can just order the clear lenses RL130L (clear) and simply screw them onto the existing lamps????? They're only £1.39 each! G 4 Geoff

Paul Hague
And if you do go for standard amber bulbs, VWP have them with the inline pins too. £1.16 each, code 343.
GTD
VWP have lenses on back order - but two of those and a couple of the silver/amber bulbs for a tenner has got to be a bargain 'upgrade'! G 4 Geoff I do not want a carbon fibre steering wheel!
ChrisC
Yep they are also used on the OLD Mini (two screw plastic lense, not the glass and ring type). Chris.... H15 SVN Get it !
bongomania
Went to landrover and they quoted £22.99 one day. 😳 Went back 2 days later and they were £2.99. Dave McCulloch
Just done the clear front indicators mod. Cheapest place in the end was Land Rover - part No 589284, price £3,74 incl VAT. VWP was about a fiver by the time p&p was added. Definitely looks better without the orange lenses - just need to do something about the orange repeaters on the cycle wings now... Grubbster
Get new wings and don't bother with the side repeaters *thumbup*, it'll make it faster . . . That's what I am trying to convince the Mrs anyway See some photo's of my Roadsport build here
Frying Pan
Grubbster Apparently the CF ones are even faster, and will match the TDH 😬 Guy See some pictures of the build here. PBC and SVA complete - waiting for March 1st!
