Armour fend

I would suggest looking at that picture that this is quite inferior to Armourfend. It looks like it is glorified clingfilm, Armourfend is much heavier duty stuff and needs to be to stop flying stones.

Personally I'd shy away from that stuff....but then I'm also shying away from DIY and going to have it done professionally whilst the chassis has no suspension components attached.

Keep off the straight and narrow *tongue* 😬

The film I talk about above is supplied by 3M. It certainly doesn't look as thin as the stuff that Demon Tweeks sell. As mentioned by somebody above, I believe the film I can get is the same film that AF use.

This is the stuff that Halfords sell, which I have tried.

Its called Foliatec and isn't anywhere near as good as Armourfend - its thicker, less flexible and less transparent.

Armourfend is not hard to spot but you can miss it if you dont know what you are looking for, especially if the car is clean, however this stuff is a lot easier to spot even if you arent looking for it.

Having said that its good value and its tough - I've had some on some 'high wear' points on my car around the door openings and it had stood up to 11,000 miles in one year without problems.

Dont let me put you off, just dont expect it to be as good as Armourfend
