Irrelevant
Just bought one myself - it's a bolt on jobbie, no messing around, from what I gather (touch wood, fingers crossed, etc.) I can't say from experience though as I haven't taken my car apart yet, but judging from the tonne of archive posts I read, it'll be OK. You'll have the same block and box as me so I don't see you'll have any problems. The one on Ebay has the clutch fork and bearing which can be a rear pain to source apparently. The only thing you'll need is a cover for the rhs starter motor aperature - they are c.£35, or can be made pretty simply. Alan L
Hi Adam, thanks for the reply post. I'll watch how the bidding goes and see if I have enough spare cash. Alan and his Yellow and Green BDR.
Silver 21
Current price of one of these from Burtons is £305.50, so at £82 at the moment this is a bargain! philwaters
They work depending on chassis... Mine wasn't so easy, but it was easy to sort out. The spare starter position fouled on the chassis, so I hacked it off and made up a plate to replace it with the cut-out for the clutch gaiter thingy. I think there is a piccy on my web site under 2001 & Zetec. Phil Waters
