I think I'm interested if you can confirm it'll do what I want it to do

Desk top PC from PCworld has all wifey's school planning on (3 terms x 12 topics = 36 folders) then times this by five years - and that's when she's not marking paper work!

School gave her a laptop so she can also work as school !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- - as if?

We back up desk top to lap top by copying to cd then copying cd to laptop

(she WONT use it at school - but sometimes works with it on her knee when she's fed up working in the 'office')

The laptop has a (networking - on board 10/100nic) whatever that is but as far as I know the desk top's got nothing.

will your thingy do the job and are there destructions???????

That goes for you also Richard0 do I need your card/s to make it work???????

Hmmm, I have a network link between my laptop and desktop and it's a fickle bugger at the best of times, but then this is a Microsoft supplied facility with Win98 talking to XP. HPossibly upgrading laptop to XP shortly so hope that helps.....

.......but this is all irrelevant to Arnie's post 😳 *tongue*

Keep off the straight and narrow *tongue* 😬

Roger,

You'll need my thingy and one of Richards cards, (though I have a 10mbit card you can also have free)

It will work however, but if you are looking for help setting it up you'll need to ask elsewhere as I like to charge £1000/day.....
