clarkey
I think I have solved the mystery of the rattle. The SLR has an inertia switch on the bulkhead. If I tap the bulkhead next to the switch, a (fairly) loud rattle comes from the switch. If I do this with the engine running, the switch engages and the engine cuts, even though I'm tapping VERY lightly. Does anyone else's do this, or is it a faulty part? Surely it is both too noisy and too sensitive? Does this make it a female inertia switch? Thanks
Jason Plato
I too had a dud inertia switch , it cut out on me twice , once whilst doing donuts and second time at 90 mph on pembrey circuit . A replacement is only a few quid from rover or caterham . No problems since . Dave
