noddy
Ok, so I've got my fire extinguisher. Do I just drill a couple of holes throught the floor and bolt the bracket down or is there a more cunning way 🤔 R400 .......... I love it
bl0498
noddy, Hopefully you have bought a 1.75 litre AFFF based extinguisher! [Q.3.1.1] - this is the recommended quantity. The only recommendation in the Blue Book that I can see for hand-held extinguishers is that they must be mounted [Q.3.4.1] in positive quick release brackets secured with a minimum of two 6mm bolts. On a practical level you want to be able to get at it quickly when in the car hence a very common position is the passenger footwell, either transverse across the car just in front of the seat (if it fits) or fore/aft - in either case with the business end nearest the driver's reach. Hope this helps. Brian Edited by - bl0498 on 11 Jan 2004 21:57:
