ewenm
My alternator has given up and moved on to wherever good alternators go after death. Anyone got one lurking at the back of a garage? It's to go into a 97P 1.6 K Series. Ta muchly, Ewen. 71560 miles and counting... but knackered alternator ☹️

Sheds Moderator
Alternative solution, knowing the outer case is shagged, take it to an auto elec, establish the tintop it is based upon, get one from a scrappy for a few bob, take broken plus good to electrician, who modifies and reconditions as required. If I'm not mistaken it's standard or near standard item with just a bracketry change.

Luke Beaumont
I don't think there's any change to the alternator/bracketry at all for a 7 installation. It's all standard Rover as far as I know. Certainly I didn't need anything special when adapting my ex Rover 200 engine to put in t'seven.
