Gridgway Posted January 4, 2004 Share Posted January 4, 2004 Can someone tell me how the breather pipe from the top of the tank to the cam cover is fixed at the Apollo end please? Mine was leaking oil and I found it was loose. On removal, there was a mess of what looked like PTFE stuck in it. Is PTFE sposed to be used or is it just bolted on? CHRIS CLARK Posted January 4, 2004 Share Posted January 4, 2004 This is always a suspect joint 'cos the steel adaptor fits into an small aluminium thread in the top of the Apollo tank can. Not good. Mine leaked from new even with crush washers. PTFE is always the first option, but still no good. I figured you don't have to remove it so fixed it in properly with JB Weld after having cleaned it all up etc. Result? Never leaked again therefore sound repair!!!
