Swiss_Tony
I have been taking the 7 apart this christmas for various mods. When I removed the driveshafts/hubs/disks etc it occured to me that it is VERY heavy. Any ideas how to make it lighter? Peter T
Why not fit some nice Magnesuim uprights and some carbon composite discs ? Sorry mate can't help really Ric the only way you will keep up with James, is if he removes his engine alltogether 😬 😬 Founder Member of The Twisted Prop Club. Jason Plato
Since 1997 at least 3 different designs of driveshafts have been used by Caterham from GKN . You have big ****ing heavy ones with 32mm ends , big ****ing heavy ones with 42mm ends and comparitivly light ones saving you almost 3Kg per shaft with 42 mm ends . The lightest ones are the latest . But I understand they are over £400 new ☹️

Swiss_Tony
Cheers £400 is a tad expensive 😳 Having said that I guess its probably quite cheap compared to other alternatives. James Su77on Se7ens
Swiss_Tony
Ric I seem to recall you not being able to keep up (big understatement!) with my tin top when you were in your hot hatch 😳 So I doubt you would stand a chance in the 7! Pete Carbon/carbon fibre etc is for girls Mark I will be joining the gym. You are more than welcome to come along 😳 James Su77on Se7ens Edited by - James on 4 Jan 2004 10:44:
