Meldrew
Actually, just be grateful that you're not being asked to name babies after Bionicles.
not a Postman Pat
😬 Now that you mention it, Mata Nui Maher has a nice ring to it too. The Bionicle film is quite good actually 😳 Pat and his not quite black and white cat
Boonie Hound
Blimey - this is a whole new world. I fear that I may blub at Disney films in front of the poor child. The Lion king and Finding nemo all have members of their family wiped out - tears were welling up while my neice happily took it in her stride. Any suggestions over disposable vrs terry nappies and how to introduce your new born to the dog - presumably covering it in Pedigree Chum is not a good idea. not a Postman Pat
Can't help on the dog front, but definitely disposable. When they can get through 8 in a day, you do NOT want to be washing the stuff out all the time Pat and his not quite black and white cat
Meldrew
Second that. Anyone who thinks terries are a good idea must spend so long hugging trees that they never change or wash the things. Disposables really are the only answer that makes sense. As for dogs, don't know. What do dogs identify and like that they don't try to eat, shag or wee on? NB just in the interests of clarity, none of these is a good thing for a baby.
Boonie Hound
Been looking at the all terrain pushchairs and making brrrrmmmm, brrrrrrrm noises....very sad.
Meldrew
Nothing sad about that, Boonie. We all do it. Having kids has been the only way I could get my hands on a Maclaren of my own...sadly, not a McLaren, though. Flat-flooring the bouncy chair is the next major job to do. 😬

Boonie Hound
Just watched Child of our Time last night - this parenting lark is going to be a complete minefield.
Meldrew
Agreed, the programme looked like a warning to use contraception more carefully. But what Robert Winston failed to tell you was that old Caterham saw: "they all do that, Sir". At least, to some extent.
