Dartmoor7
If you are thinking of upgrading your Caterham-supplied 4-point harness to a 6-point be aware that the design of the metal tongues which fit into the central lock buckle has changed at some time and so the crotch straps may not fit your harness. Mine didn't. (1994 harness).Caterham are unable to supply the older type.
Mick Day
No problem: all that's needed is a suitable grindstone to modify the tongue. Mick
Alex Wong1697456877
I had a "modified" one in my old car. Seemed fine but I never "tested" it.
Dartmoor7
>>all that's needed is a suitable grindstone to modify the tongue This is what Caterham suggested and I may do it, but only because I am not using the crotch strap in a safety-critical way;but rather just to stop the tightening of shoulder straps pulling the waist belts upwards.
