Skidmark
Yes, Mark. After some unbelievable timewasters. It has been a great car.
Mark Piper
So James Ball didn't buy it then? (he's not a timewaster, just got an incredibly bad service from an OPC). Good luck in your search and it's well worth your calling call Mark Oliver at Ratrace ref. the SLR & R500 he has for sale
James Ball
Time wasters eh Mark. An expression with "pot" and "kettle" springs to mind.
Skidmark
The fact you weren't happy with the OPC inspection had nothing to do with me. I told you everything you needed to know. Ultimately, you have to make the trip & look at the car with your own eyes. I researched the car myself when I bought. I never expected anyone to do the running around for me. I offered to have the car checked by the one of the most respected specialists around. You chose OPC. When I choose a Caterham, yes, I will ask some questions, have some photos e-mailed, but asking for 2 inspections is asking a lot of anyone. I can only answer so many questions. I ran out of patience. Good luck in your search. Sorry you lost your £ 130.00. If iot's any compenastion I waited 5 hours for the OPC driver to pick the car up... James Ball
This isn't the time or the place but given that you want to go into details... You offered to take it to "your mate" at the OPC-approved bodyshop. You said you would do it within a week. I made you an offer subject to that inspection (only £500 less than your asking price, in fact). I left you telephone messages about every 2 or 3 days for 4 weeks! You never once returned my calls or emails. I was willing to buy it unseen on the basis of an OPC inspection, a chat with your mechanic and a bodyshop inspection. All you had to do was do was you offered to do - take it to your mate. I wouldn't have minded if you had just had the decency to pick up the phone and tell me what was happening.
