Toby
Spurious claim about the lap record at Croft I feel!
Martin H
Absolutely not! Check out the timesheets - beat Paul Manyweathers previous record by half a second! (although I did say VX record - I did just get pipped by a pesky Ford for the class record).
Toby
You're living in the past I'm afraid Martin (as is the grads website lap record). The lap record went twice this year. I think Stuart Simpson took it in the end in the sunday race (still a Ford granted) but that was after I had taken it down to 1:42.30 on the saturday. Dont worry I wont report you to Advertising standards. But I can vouch that Martins is a very nice looking and (moderately) fast car.
Martin H
In which case I take it back and bow to your supremacy . I thought it was wet this year, and so the record hadn't been beaten! And don't try to tell me you beat it on a wet track .
MikeW
IIRC testing was wet but the races were dry. Toby setting a lap record in the wet 😬 that would be one for the books MikeW 1600 VX Black/Ali Race No 134 Membership No 6582

iguana
Went for a quick blat today with Martin and he is not joking about the condition, it is indeed a very clean car, can't quite belive it used to be a racer!- I think he has secretly been keeping it tucked up warm & cozy in the house & only using it on sunny sundays to pootle down to the pub 😬 oh fab colour too. Matthew Willoughby
Unfortunately not Graeme. Funds won't stretch that far. Just the road and trackdays. That'll be plenty to keep me happy anyway 😬
