Marius
Short update: the carbon-fibre-camcover was not being produced by or for Spiess. A french company called Batelle did them for F3 engines but Batelle doesn´t exist anymore. Sorry guys... ☹️ Marius

16vastra
i know a guy who will do a run of these maybe next year (does carbon bonnets and bits already) theres pics up of the covers already, but heres the style http://mig2.lathwood.co.uk/upload/2/2_carbon_cam_cover.jpg and he says 'Carbon rocker/cam covers would be somewhere in the region of £300-400 and will probably not use all the bolts to secure it, but i will have the face cnc machined flat so it wont **** oil onto your exhaust.' how that compares to other carbon cover prices i dont know tho. Anthony
That looks nice Does it have a cover for the plug leads as well ? Assume we can do without oil filler cap - no doubt many will run dry sump How firm is the indicated cost ? Regards Anthony Engine in, oil lines in, now where's the hacksaw to cut the secondaries... 16vastra
thats a honda rocker cover by the way, i forgot to mention, and there is an oil cap and he does plug covers and heatshields as well - http://mig2.lathwood.co.uk/upload/b/bits2.jpg & belt covers for xe and xev http://mig2.lathwood.co.uk/upload/e/ecotec_camcover.jpg price not firm as he hasnt moulded any yet, but hes not usually far off or that expensive (eg plug covers are 40 quid inc stainless bolts, cambelt cover is 45 and the heat shield is 20, hell even a full nova bonnet (not just skin) is only 380 quid - http://mig2.lathwood.co.uk/upload/b/bonnnnnet.jpg) lol i sound like an advert

Harry Flatters
Anthony, rather than me confuse the guy with another mail on the same thing, would you let me know the result of your contact. I to would like NO oil filler and would prefer most of the bolts to be in place especially the centre one one the inlet side as this holds my throttle cable clamp. *arrowright*Harry Flatters *arrowright* AKA Steve Mell of Su77on Se7ens and Surrey Joint AO

Marius
Regarding the Spiess-engine advertised at racecar.co.uk.... DON`T BUY IT. Spiess told me that it had never been dynoed at anything above 300BHP and they didn´t see it again after selling it new three years ago... 320BHP, 0 miles, rebuild by Spiess, yeah, right...... 🙆🏻 Location South Africa ? Marius
Got a source now for a CF-camcover. Will have to buy at least 5 of them to make them doing a mould & the tools. Price will be somewhere between 1200-1500 Euros depending on quantity. Good quality never comes cheap... Anyone still interested in them? Marius
Peter T
Wow not cheap, thats a lot of modification money Marius do you think you will get five or more buyers Still i might be persuaded 😬 Founder Member of The Twisted Prop Club.
Anthony
Guys, I will let you know if I get a response in respect to the CF ones from Astra16V source. If quality is OK they are half the price, that being said I would only like to buy one ONCE A grand would go a long way towards a Juno pushrod kit though Anthony Engine in, oil lines in, now where's the hacksaw to cut the secondaries...
