URL links spawning a new window

Just a thought, but I prefer URL links to pop open a new browser window. For example a posting may point you to a site which is taking a while to load. If it spawned a new window you can let it load at its own pace and keep browsing BC in the original window. Another example would be where a posting points you to a site but you need to refer back to the posting. Having the site in a new window makes it easier than shuffling around on the forward & back buttons.

Admittedly it only takes Ctrl-N to spawn your own window and click the link in that, but where do you draw the line between laziness and ease of use? *smile*

Luke,

I was trying to follow current 'standards' where you let the user decide whether they want to open in a new window. If you are using a pc then:

Right-click / open link in new window

should do the trick. Sorry, don't know the equivalent on a Mac.

Now if only IE could do the same as Opera, Mozilla, and Mozilla Firebird and enabled tab'd browsing.
