StewartG
Try about 16 psi all round and keep an eye on how they wear, if the middle wears more than the outside reduce the pressure or vice versa.
stevefoster
I am running the same size/width tyres but with 021's and 7" rear rims. I run 17 PSI to get that even wear rate. It seems to be the same for the narrower fronts as for the wider rears. My car HPC will be heavier than your so 16-17 would be about right. NickB7
I just had flat floor done and recommended tyre pressures for my Superlight was 20psi. i had been running at 19 before - any advice? S31VEN
stevefoster
20psi seemed a little bouncy on the 7's I've had.
dba11
I normally run between 16 and 18psi on my 185/60 R13 A032R's, depending on what the conditions are like. I have tried 20-22psi but that felt very harsh, and skittish. Cheers Daren.
Andy Checkley
I found about 19 psi right for me for track use and the wear was pretty even. I think its a personal thing, but if you average out all of the figures posted here I imagine this will give you a good starting point. Check how the tyres are wearing and then make your adjustments. Pierre Gillet
The Owners manual says 20 psi (probably for " normal") tyres 185 60 14. However some of you recommend 18 psi for A 032R. Does it mean that soft tyres would need less pressure? I have Yokos A 021R.Would it be also recommended to inflate at 18 psi for road use rather than at 20 psi as recommended by Caterham? Advice would be much appreciated. Cheers, Pierre
Andrew Russell
I run 185.60 x 13 A021R on my 2.0 16v Vauxhall. I have found that 16 - 18 psi in the rear is about optimum to get heat and wear even across the tread. For the fronts,I have them a little higher for road use, at about 22 psi. Pierre Gillet
Thanks Andrew. Will try less presure. Developing heat to get grip but not too much to damage the tyre is what should be achieved. Probably not so easy. Cheers, Pierre
murph7355
I use 16-18 (usually 16 when cold) also and it works well (185s front, 205s rear, 13" wheels, A021Rs). C7 AJM
