In a moment of complete Friday boredom I thought I would find out what the effect on power to weight ratio my recent weight loss would have *smile* *smile*

Here's the calc (based on a R500)

Old Weight - 100kg (OK I probably wouldn't have fitted in a R500 but remember this is just theoretical) plus car equals 560kg

Power - 230 BHP

Old Power to Weight - 410.7 BHP/Tonne

New Weight - 86kg plus car equals 546kg

New Power to Weight - 421.2 BHP/Tonne

Increase 10.5BHP per tonne OR 6BHP in engine power 😬 😬

How much would that have cost me as an engine upgrade or weight saving.

I told you I was bored *wink* *wink*

Have a good weekend.

Andy

☹️ My old Roadsport B was only 182.5 BHP/tonne. Min weight was 610KG i came in at 630KG (so my competitors were running 188.5 BHP/tonne) i wonder what thats worth in seconds at Brands Indy. My new RS A car should give me a ratio of 222 BHP. but again if my competitors come in bang on the min weight of 600KG then they will have 233.3 BHP. Guess i'll give xmas a miss this year and go on a diet *eek*
