julians
Im starting to get annoyed at the amount of damping that the standard caterham guage has, so can anyone recommend a decent guage to replace it with. and whilst we're there it would be nice to get oil temp as well, so how do I go about this. Where does the oil temp sender ussually screw in, will I have to tap a new hole or should there be one already. The engine is a 2.0 zetec. Swiss_Tony
Julian My vx has an oil temp/pressure gauge. It is made by racetech. The pressure pipe screws into the block instead of the sender unit. The temp take off screws into a remote filter assy. It should be possible to get a connector to fit elsewhere. Demon Tweeks sell racetech gauges. stevefoster
The old VDO ones were better. I have a 36psi warning switch / lamp. I rely on this for warning. The gauge is only ok for a guide as to operating pressure.
Alex Wong1697456877
Julians, I think I might have recommended the SPA ones to you - Can I retract that. Stay away from them. See the SPA thread. Alex
julians
Alex, your disapproval has been noted. Looks like I'll have to save up for an all singing stack dash
