stevefoster
I have tried Facets Silver tops and had failures. My current car is running a square type Facet impeller pump. I have now 'upgraded' to the Weber cylinder type that James W keeps. James does them since they are more reliable. Anyone any experiences of them one way or another? please say "reliable, reliable, reliable"
I.Mupferit
I've got a Weber pump from James Whiting and all I can say is that it hasn't failed in two years but hardly an exhaustive cross section of the motoring public. If anybody should know then J.W. is your man, if he says it's reliable then I believe him. smile.gif
AMMO
I've used Weber pumps a lot and have never had any problems with them. We had one fail a few years ago. It was an early type with no filter on the input side. Some debris from the tank got into it and it jammed. The late ones have a filter screen inside but should still run some sort of pre-filter if mounted externally of filter sock if mounted in the tank.
