prs
I will be taking out my standard 1.6SS during the next month and upgrading various bits, such as comp. big end bearings, lightweight flywheel and alloy front pulley, cyl/head porting, verniers, fitting throttle bodies etc. My question is this - which is the best ECU route to go - EMERALD or DTA. I appreciate that the DTA route requires it's own loom and is therefore more expensive but what are the + and - with these two systems, I would really apreciate your views. Red SLR
I would say Emeral - however your location does not give easy access to Dave Walker.
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted November 3, 2003 Leadership Team Share Posted November 3, 2003 Emerald There's an increasing number of us running Emeralds in the North West / Wales area of the country - so you won't be alone. The user friendliness of the software is excellent, well worth fitting just for the education you get about engine management. Worth downloading the software from Emerald's website to have a play.
