kirium Posted November 3, 2003 Author Share Posted November 3, 2003 John, The gearbox is from a 1700 x/flow Super-sprint - not sure if it is a 1600 sport box - how can I tell ?? It does have a bell-housing - I can e-mail you a pic if it helps ? I am based in Essex - Not sure where you are - could arrange a mutal place to hand-over ? As for cost - e-mail a suggestion ! John Hughes Posted November 4, 2003 Share Posted November 4, 2003 John The 1600 sport gearbox doesn't have a removable bell housing its integral with the main case. The tail housing is made of alloy and is one piece. The altenative Escort boxes have an alloy tail housing but the upper tube the selector rods run in is a pressed steel tube.
