davelloyd
Anyone out there help, last year had power steering unit replaced by dealer car being V6 Mondeo 97 vintage 40,000 miles on clock, presume problem unrelated,on cornering there is a definate squeek which would seem to be eminating from where steering wheel joins column, this happens whether stationary or mobile.Steering works perfectly o.k is it a question of removing wheel & greasing,s/wheel has airbag,if so anyone got any idea how to get wheel off. Thanks, Dave
Bare
For a while there was a Squeek in my Saab's steering.. Drove me Nuts.. turned out it was the column 'squeeking' against the rubber gaiter at the floor.. a quick spritz of lube and it dissapeared. Mebe yours ? Swiss_Tony
Dave If you have never removed a steering wheel with an air bag DONT. If you know what you are doing they are easy to remove but I have heard a of a couple of incidents where someone has tried to remove a wheel and the airbag has gone off. One of the ones I have heard of the person was killed. Best left to your local garage. James Su77on Se7ens
