Exhaust seals

Since my 1.6 K series upgrade the poppng , banging and general mayhem on the overrun is a little excessive , and more to the point could lead to exceeding drive by noise checks on track days !!.

 

I was once told that this was mainly due to air being drawn into the silencer thru the 4-1 branch and igniting the unburnt feul .

 

Whilst I was flicking through the latest M&P Motorcycle spares brochure I noticed that bikers have available to the very thin circular tapered seals which are inserted at the silencer joint , I wonder if these are availsable and / or would work on our cars ??? . As I have never heard a superbike make any pops and bangs on overrun .

I'm sure the demand would be there from all our fellow bangers .
