sparky1697456947
I have for sale, surplus to requirements, one BRAND new and boxed Skytronic 12 volt DC to 240 volt AC inverter. It is rated at 1000 watts CONTINUOUS, not peak,so will happily run larger pieces of mains powered equipment. I comes complete with all cabling, and has fitted 2 domestic 3 pin sockets. Literally a plug and go device. £offers as close to £150, including postage.

sparky1697456947
Mike, the approximate dimensions are 12"x8" and it weighs about 5 kg. It is about the same size/weight of a car audio amplifier of similar output power(1KW) Hope this helps
Mike C.
Thanks. I'll think if I can find a use for it. Mad Manx

Roger Ford
How long does a battery last with 83 amps coming out of it???
sparky1697456947
Depends on your battery, I guess most people would have the savvy to run the engine when powering high draw equipment. If you really want to go for it I can get you a 3.5 kw inverter if you like...

sparky1697456947
Won't run a kettle I'm afraid.Unless your's is 1 kw or less, which is unlikely.

RichardO
If anyone is looking for cheap, low power, inverters, there are some in the Maplin sale at the mo - I just got a 300W one for 30 quid. Ideal for running my inspection lamp (putting my gas lantern under the car seemed like a bad plan!) They don't have anything as high power as sparky's (above) though.
