Phil.S, I think this car was for sale in the summer but it was in Ireland at the time. Now it is on in the mainland UK, and having seen the car I can say it is well worth £14 grand if not more. It is in fantastic condition.

Cheers

Phil,

You clever boy.

My word - what a very keen sense of observation you have.

This may well be that very same car you saw advertised last summer.

It was built by a serial Caterham owner who happens to be a main Rover dealer in Northern Ireland. This is the fourth Caterham he has built and his attention to detail is fantastic. I've spent over £1,500 on bolt on goodies since I bought it with the work and set up having been carried out by Taylors Foundry Motorsport (flat floored, corner weighted etc).

I took the risk of flying to Northern Ireland to find what sounded like a great car at a price that was below mainland open market value. I suppose others would not.

Two buyers seriously interested so far.

Thanks for the response.

Alex -

is that a shandy or larger tops then?

PS Adbett - I didn't build it but live axles are more fun.......

I have not fitted the upgrade kit. Since owning the car I have had an anti cavitation tank fitted, swapped the roll bar for an FIA bar and had the suspension set up sorted and a battery isolator.

The bhp upgrade kit would be the next natural step.

I wonder if Timbo still has a picture of the car he could post here for me as i've been asked to send copies but don't have the facilities to do so.

Are you out there Tim?

Simon
