Ewen, i think it's accurate to the nearest 1000 miles or so!! I am afraid that the geodesy of the earth precludes me from being a whole lot more accurate due to

 

a) the rotation of the earth around the sun is not a perfect circle,

b) the earth s not in fact perfectly spherical..

 

For me to be more accurate I would have to constantly update the distance...

Shhh, but the boss might peer over my shoulder 😬

 

I can't find a job number to book BLATCHAT to at the moment so am unable to spend 24 hours a day updating the distance to the sun, plus my measuring wheel has a broken spoke so is unusable ☹️

 

My caterham spEedo isn't accurate enough either! 😬
