Rowly
Andy YHM, but also what does AX mean
AndreK
The AX block, as far as I'm aware, was the strongest and thickest walled block available for the Kent pushrod ohv engine. It was used in Transit vans. The most significant thing is that it can therefore be safely bored out to around 1800 cc maximum, if done properly. Previous to the AX, the 711M block variant was used. 'Ford's Kent Crossflow Engine', a book by Peter and Valerie Wallage, published by Haynes group is useful on Kent engines!
