Manxseven
I notice this below at the end of the Comp Sec 'posts'. Not sure if he is asking a question of us or not? 'Competition Secretary How many events for 2004??????' So for my 2p worth, how about a couple more hillclimbs included in the Championship. I vote for; perm any 2!! Gurston, Wiscombe or Werrington L 7 BDA (No unfortunately, but) X/Flow Magic
Jason Plato
Do you have any contacts at Gurston hill Manx with whom we / you could discuss an event ???? Dave
Silver 21
Dave Are you after my job?, is there something I should know about?. It is extremely different to find slots at Hill Climbs as most of them are already oversubribed for all their events (Shelsley Walsh & Prescott esp). Its looks like we will get another invite to Loton Park via LMC and I am talking to Harewood and the Manx Motor Club ref Isle of Man. In addition to that expect 2 Curb's, MIRA, Aintree, possibly Lydden Graham Competition Secretary How many events for 2004??????
MikeW
Hope they don't clash with most of the Grads races next year as I'd love to have a go at the championship MikeW 1600 VX Black/Ali Race No 134 Membership No 6582
Jason Plato
Gurston is a great hill and its central . A phone call to a contact at Gurston may produce a result ? Dave

Paul Ranson
It is extremely different to find slots at Hill Climbs as most of them are already oversubribed for all their events (Shelsley Walsh & Prescott esp). If you look at the WSCC bulletin board (force yourself...) you can see all sorts of moaning about Shelsley Walsh because not everybody got an entry when their speed series went there. When/if the Shelsley lease is sorted out I think they will be able to run more events, which may ameliorate this. Paul
Paul Ranson
I would have thought the Gurston Down contact would be Jane Harratt, her phone number is on the www.gurstondown.org web site. Definitely worth an early approach, the provisional 2004 calendar doesn't list many visiting championships yet. Paul

Chelspeed
How about two Aintrees as well? That way we might manage one dry one. Worked at Curboro this year.....
KenEvans
Don't go overloading Bacon Butty now!......he's got a business and family to run as well as providing we lucky people with an entertaining year in 2004!
Jason Plato
I know Ken , thats why I was offering to do the initial enquirey at Gurston to see if there are any opportunities there for us . Then Graham could decide if its a potential venue . Dave
bl0498
As Paul has mentioned when the Shelsley lease is hopefully sorted then the provisions do allow the running of more events (8 weekends I think rather than the 5 currently). For 2004 though MAC, who run all events at Shelsley, have planned the usual 5 events. Brian
Silver 21
I've put an email into Gurston and am awaiting a response, I've now got Harewod dates so just need to do some date juggling!!
robmar
Harewood just up the road from the parents, been to many hillclimbs there so would be great to give it a go count me BB rob
warrent
Doesn't gurston go downhill first Before going uphill 😬 Wiscombe is a good hillclimb as is Harewood. Prefer Harewood to wiscombe though! Will be joining the championship next year in a Superlight. Phil.
