Eric McLoughlin
There are a few preserved JU-87s around the world, but none are airworthy and none were airworthy back in 1968 either. The one at Hendon is a JU-87B which is correct for the B of B. Later versions such as the JU-87G were quite diffrerent in appearance with a less angular look and a sloping canopy. The Ju-87 was a very effective tactical bomber, provided there was no serious opposotion. The current day equivalent is the Fairchild A-10. It performs a virtually identical task and, like the JU-87, is painfully slow compared to its contemporaries.

Rachael
Steve, Glad you had a good time - hope your head wasn't too sore. The show was good but not great - there weren't as many planes there as usual and there WAS NO HARRIER ☹️ 🙆🏻 ☹️ 🙆🏻 Still it was nice to see a few Shedders there Rach

Nick Woods
...and a real pity they all went back to the States. We get the occasional pair of F15's 'dogfighting' over our house but they are nowhere near as spectacular (or as low ) as the A10's used to be Nick P8MRA - Red and Black 1.6K supersport
Boonie Hound
Rach - I think the Harrier was late - I was near Duxford this morning and there was one stooging about doing low passes. Love the A-
Rachael
☹️ ☹️ I didn't see it... There was supposed to be a Tornado there, according to NN and Moomin, but it never showed up - oh well, there's always next year 😬 Rach
Boonie Hound
I tried scrawling a big message in the car park with road salt telling the pilot to fly past your house and work place but I don't think he saw...sorry ☹️
