Adamkomrower
This is the first time i'm doing this , but here goes. I the search for a bit more power i'm replacing the 1600 xflow that is currently in my car with a 1700 and am looking for a good home for the old engine, is anyone interested? i was looking for about £1k is this a fair price? The engine is fitted with Webber Carbs and is a great runner, its done about 9000 miles. Adam
Peter T
I think that your price is a little too optimistic for a bog standard 1600cc x- flow. Even if you halve that amount, you will find few takers, as they often change hands for pennies, unless it has some steel internals in it. As for the carbs i would sell them separately. DanB
To give you an idea on prices, I picked up a 1700 X-flow, with a fast road cam and twin Webbers, in reasonable nick, for £300 not so long ago. X-flows, unless they are very trick, rarely go for very much. Dan
