There was a program on one of the Discovery type channels where Alan Alda (MASH actor) was investigating simple questions like "Why are chilli's hot" - its not the flesh and not the seeds but a tiny strip of orangey material in the chilli that holds the chemical Capsinal (or something like that)

70155 miles and counting...

The volume of completely useless information you lot have tucked in your brains never ceases to amaze me 😬

I'm doing a works pub quiz soon - may have to get mobile internet in time to set up laptop in ladies' loo so I can ask the Shedders any tough questions 😳

It's an estimate, not a fact, Mr Pashley *tongue*

Let It Be

Beetles:

Beetles, order Coleoptera, are not only the largest group of insects, they are the largest order in the animal kingdom. There are so many species that even the best estimates vary, ranging from 300,000 to 500,000 species. It is probable that one out of every four creatures on earth is a beetle.

*wink*
