EFA
I think its time a few people on this thread took a look at the rubbish they have written. They are telling Arnie what he has done and where he has been as though he was never there, an they were. His personally contributed comments are very likely factual, and the only point in this thread where he could be said to have been derogatory against others products is an indirect quote which is unqualified. The onslaughts and insults from some on this thread are totally inappropriate and a key reason why posting on Blatchat should be restricted to club members only. I for one do not belive Arnie has carte blanche to do or say what he likes on here, he does an awful lot for this club at the expense of much of his energy and free time. Leave the guy alone before we have no Rumbles, no Le Mans Trip , no super duper carbon fibre. Of course if you are not a club member this won't bother you, which is precisely the reason I believe you should not be able to contribute. V7 SLR
Mr TW, work out the numbers of people that would contribute to BC if only members were allowed to post and you'd soon find it would fall by the wayside. Not all club members have internet access and only a few of those that have access engage in Blatchatting. This conversation has been done to death. Now, can anyhone tell me where I can get cf headlamp bowls from. I have a full set of cf wings and nosecone. What else is there? I've spoken to a few people about a cf bonnet but they all have problems with venting hot air from under the bonnet. Louvres are impossible/difficult to achieve so what solutions do you cf producers have? Yours eagerly awaiting a solution and bored with the rest of the thread. 😳 Worcs L7 club joint AO.//Membership No. 4379//Azure Blue SLR No. 0077//Se7ens List Tours

windy1
This forum is like a religious cult. It has a god that its brainwashed members worship. Once sucked in there is no way out. The cults bible says: 1) Thou shalt buy certain products that god suggests. 2) Thou shal not buy any products from the devil even if they are better or cheaper than gods own. 3) Carbon is god's bread & the food of love. I reply to every thread
Bev D - Get back to Westfield land where you belong. There are a few customers of your deals on here who no doubt have less than charitable views about you. They do not however feel the need to narrate those views at the level of a 5 year old. Grow up. New Barbie
I can't believe my work is keeping me from really getting into the mix of these threads, instead I'm coming across them after the best bits have been posted already. This is the best thread in ages: name calling, violent threat, East End roots, Germans and Westfield owners (new and old). This is what the internet was invented for (along with pornography). Keep it up. shrewdcookie - my site
Graham Perry
No the complete opposite, Don't own any CF at all let alone Gold. I will stick with the GRP until this stuff comes down to sensible money.

Wingnut
Have been following this thread from the start with some amusement. Asked about Mog carbon fibre on here a couple of months ago and recieved nothing but complimentary reviews. These products may be at the cheaper end of the CF market, but I would compare them more with mid range Sony (Definately not cheap ASDA crap) compared to Arnies top end Denon (or whatever), however if we all wanted to conform to the latest Dog's b******s, F1 derived gear, wouldnt we all be better buying carbonfibre Radicals rather than quaint old fashioned R500's 😬. Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted September 30, 2003 Leadership Team Share Posted September 30, 2003 This is a great read - all I did was light the blue touch paper and stand well clear Nig - I think you're getting some kind of cf-fetish - it may be worth getting a second point of view, but I think you're up a well known creek without a paddle matey - probably no known cure It'll be carbon slippers in front of the fire next! Somebody did carbon headlight bowls a few years back - may have been Arnie's Carbon Comp.Co but not sure if I'm remembering correct. Somebody will correct me no doubt. Stu. The Dog In The Park
T'was CCC who made them but they were very tricky to make well, (despite Smoking Joe's method) and consequently rather pricey. Not really a best seller. DITP - Carbon Fibre for Composite Fetishists Edited by - The Dog In The Park on 30 Sep 2003 20:47:
Smokin Joe
Have spoken to "Gator in the swamp" and he has decided to release some 2 new cf products for the fetish struck. A CF condom: Very high breaking strength, excellent rigidity, usual CF colors available. available in "small" for weight conscious A CF Dummy: Satisfy your CF Oral cravings and shuts up the naysayers Joe 😬 590bhp/ton and counting! Sheds Moderator
Seems to have gone very quiet now, bit of a shame. I was enjoying the scrapping. Right, who else can we have a go at? 'Might have to see if I can go and bait someone else. Lessee now, carmichael and his emerald? Naah, bit too techy, too many facts in the way. K vs Dura vs Vx? No, done to death. windy1
"I will stick with the GRP until this stuff comes down to sensible money" When the 7 was first released in the 50's GRP was very high tech material. I guess its a bit strange that people today want to adorn an ancient design with even more modern bits that serve little use other than cosmetic appeal for a lot of money I visited a company recently who were able to turn steel wishbones into a very convincing carbon part for vitually peanuts in outlay. They can also do wings and any other bits you care to think of. I was thinking that GRP could be turned into carbon for a fraction of the cost of a genuine article. With most mass production car manufacturers seeing the market for carbon products in their cars (trim panels / dash) etc they are looking to companies like this for cheap alternatives. heavenly7
windy1 - "cosmetic appeal" - that all depends on the quality of the carbon, some has cosmetic appeal, some doesnt having now seen some of the products mentioned here.
