zak
😬 Hopefully, a simple answer.  I have a 1kg BC powder fire extinguisher that I want to fit to my 7. Question is where? In front of the passenger seat?  thanks for any input  Zak See my car here
Support Team Shaun_E Posted September 19, 2003 Support Team Share Posted September 19, 2003 Fitted mine in front of the passenger seat and have seen many others there. I fitted mine across the width of the car but have also see people moun them lengthways. Widthways they sit nicely under the passengers legs so long as it is reasonably close to the seat. Lengthways the passenger has to sit with their legs apart . Shaun p.s. did you get your ride height sorted out in the end? Yellow SL #
Support Team Shaun_E Posted September 19, 2003 Support Team Share Posted September 19, 2003 Oh - and make sure you use decent sized washers to spread the load when you bolt through the floor. Yellow SL #
zak
Hi Shaun!  Thanks for the advice - will go for the widthways across the front of the passenger seat. Oh, with big washers too. Ta. As for the ride height - Caterham sorted it out and found some other quite worrying things too... Not here. I have front suspension now! It moves up and down - wey hey!!! I can clear the gate bolt upright in the drive without clouting the sump on it - Bit of a relief! 😬 Zak See my car here
