Jimbobs
Hi all My car's coming up for it's first service since I bought it. I was wondering if you guys could give me some advice about the best place to get it done. I live pretty close to Dartford, so the Caterham factory is good and handy, but are they expensive compared to other specialists? If so, are there any other recomended servicers in the Kent area. I'm interested to hear about your experiences. Thanks a lot Jim
I reply to every thread
There's Redline in Caterham - who used to work for Caterham I gather. Caterham themselves do fixed price servicing. Dunno whether Redline are cheaper. I've got a feeling their hourly labour rate is less - but whether that makes a difference on servicing I don't know. StewartG
In my humble opinion the best place to get your car serviced is at home. I'm sure your wife can't recommend it enough, I know mine does. You are married aren't you? Edited by - stewartg on 21 Feb 2001 16:57:
Gary-Cornwall
On this subject, could anyone comment on the need for FSH for a car like the 7 compared to a standard road car. By nature these cars are tweaked, tuned, raced etc. Is it a big plus on resale values?

Johnny B
I have had mine serviced by Redline and found them to be very helpful including sorting out a minor pre -service problem without notice . Their standard service prices are average .
