R500 CYA Posted September 9, 2003 Share Posted September 9, 2003 I have just been to my friends workshop where he was stripping down a 1998 Rover 214. He has asked if I would like the engine, which I don't as I don't have a 7 anymore, but I thought I'd offer it to you guys. It is not a high miler, but it is a Rover block so it will not fit fit immediately into a 7 without some grinding! Compression is down on the number three cylinder and so I would suggest this engine needs to be stripped, but as it is a 1.4 I imagine you would have done that anyway. I think it will make a good basis to build a fast engine from, but probably a bit dull just to stick in the car. Offers over £75 please.
