pbsmith69
I have a 1997 1.6K series, 6 speed with wide-track, 13†yoko 21R’s, leather seats, and all the usual extras. I have recently converted the car using a second hand low mileage 1.8 VVC engine (anti cav oil tank also fitted). My circumstances have now changed and I need to sell the car. I will be selling the old complete 8000-mile 1600cc engine with the car so the new owner can swap back to standard spec if they want. Pricing seems to me to be all over the place with people asking daft money for car so have no idea what its really worth, I don’t want to ring the factory or any dealers as I will only get the usual “it’s a bad time to sell so I can only give you “ sob story. So some sensible advice on pricing from anyone out there would be much appreciated. Also do you think it would be worth the same money if I swapped it back to the standard 1.6k (so I could sell the vvc separately.) (Notice how I said sensible, Messrs Kent and Plunket) Thanks for your help Phil
Eddie White
Read thru back issues of low flying. find a comparable car, ring and see if it sold at that price, and price yours around the same figure. Regards, Ed
