Boonie Hound
Mrs Nobananas saw a blue 'rollerskate car' (her words) with a big 7 on Hills Road, Cambridge, yesterday at around 1pm-ish - was this SUMY - the hood was down so it might not be 😬 😬

scooby dooby doo
considering how long it takes to put the roof up, the time to fit the studs is TINY ❗ HOOPY R706KGU Hoopylight R Edited by - hoopy on 9 Sep 2003 13:25:
Rachael
I think the record is 40 seconds to put the roof up Is it possible to fit press studs more quickly than that? Wow! Weedhopper
scooby dooby doo
if you can put the hood up in 40 seconds i should imagine you can read war and peace in about 5 minutes and put a few thousand studs in in only 5 seconds ❗ HOOPY R706KGU Hoopylight R
JonathanP
Putting the hood up is easy - its getting in afterwards that beats me
Rachael
As it happens I can read quite quickly - not sure about WaP in 5 minutes though - the new HP in one day... It's not me that puts the hood up that quickly, but I imagine Alex used to get lots of practice when he used to leave Sumy topless outside his office and it started bucketing down 😬 Weedhopper
Rachael
Jonathan, You either need more practice, or just ditch the hood and screen and get an aero 😬 😬 Weedhopper Edited by - Rachael on 9 Sep 2003 14:15:
scooby dooby doo
I read very fast as well - about 100 pages an hour for Harry Potter for example... gets expensive to keep buying that many new books ❗ HOOPY R706KGU Hoopylight R

Boonie Hound
I have been banned from buying anymore I have to put them on our bookshelves (whole of dining room wall) and pretend I bought it ages ago.
Rachael
😬 😬 hehe - Boonie, I used to have to do that when I lived at home...Alex doesn't tend to notice, or mind, so it's not a problem any more... Weedhopper
Rachael
Guy, I don't know how I manage to read so fast, it's just something I have always been able to do. I did start reading before I went to school and can almost always be found with my nose stuck in a book, so maybe that helps
ewenm
They must be used to you at Addenbrookes now "Hello Rachael, nose stuck in book again? Mrs Mav
if you lot read o many books and they are taking up much need space why don't you sell them on e-bay My brother is like you lot, but once he's read a book, watched a video or dvd, he sells them on e-bay normally for profit and buys quite a few on there too. It's quite an efficient system he's got going actually Viv Wishing i was a part timer
Alex Birtwisle
Yikes ......... sell them 🤔 Rachael would never sell them. She loves them all too much to sell them ❗ S713UMY 1.8K Viper Blue and Black

Boonie Hound
Get rid of a book - it can't be done. I took a box of really old ones that I had picked up in job lots to the RSPCA shop and although I had sorted through them I still found my self picking one or two back out. I chose the RSPCA because of their damn advert. It includes and elderly dog sitting out in the rain chained up and looking at the house which has it lights on. You hear a voice saying 'I'm not sure what I did to deserve being here'. Eventually and RSPCA officer comes and puts a blanket around him....The problem is that is almost the life my dog had for six years in a shop yard - except she was beaten too and the ad always makes me want to hug her and give to the RSPCA...or at least the German Shepherd rescue we got her from. Damn those ad men 😬
Rachael
I don't think I have ever voluntarily been able to get rid of any of my books...I just don't see how it can be done... Weedhopper
