Peter Lydford Posted September 8, 2003 Share Posted September 8, 2003 Yesterday I bought a 1990 1700 Supersprint De-dion Caterham, lucky me The car is nice and 'used' but for the price who cares I collected the car from it's unhappy owner who also gave me almost the whole contents of his garage, lots of bits & pieces, so last night I had a look to see what is there and what I don't need so I can sell, but can anyone tell me the values 711M block, 82mm ish bores, vgc 2 crankshafts, I assume to fit said block with 4 caps 4 con-rods, and a lot of nuts and bolts windscreen in the surround 4 Yoko A008 tyres, well worn, 3 ford 6x13 wheels that look like MK1 Escort RS wheels If these items are worth seling I will either sell or swap for goodies to fit my new toy, any ideas ta. Do you have any means of measuring the journal sizes? How much money are we talking? Have either of the cranks been double-dowelled for the fly-wheel. I've just spent ages trying to find a pic of what i think are Mk1 RS Escort wheels , but all the stuff on the web seems to be sat on minilites/superlites! Any chance you could send a picture? As for price, depends on condition etc, wheels on here seem to vary massively in 2nd hand value. I'm in SW/S Central/NW/Midlands faritly regularly if that helps with collection? Ade, I have no idea on the crank/rods, the cranks are all wrapped up, I can take a picture of them tonight, what's your e-mail address ?. There are also new shells but I haven't looked to see sizes, I'll check tonight, as for measuring the journal sizes ...... I have a vernier caliper, but what do I measure 🤔 As for a price, what is reasonable for both of us 🤔 Rob, I'll take a picture of the wheels tonight for you, they are in good condition, pictures will tell you more, what's your e-mail address ?
