Andrew Russell
Mike, You are obviously far too young or you spend too long in the garage, tinkering..... I seem to think the phrase to which you referred was actually on 'Blockbusters' and not 'Call my Bluff', altho' the link is clearly 'Bob Holness' Sorry if we've hijacked Arnie's original thread.... StewartG
Fullharness,You're not one of those women who goes around saying does this seat make my bum look big are you? If you can't get into R500 seats don't ever get near the original bucket race seats you could end up with the hump.

StewartG
That's a bit of a lame response. What are women coming to these days when they don't rise to a little winding up. Never mind I'll try again later in the month.
FH
Stewart, idea.gif how about "Excitabam fluctus in simpulo" wink.gif or "Canis timidus vehementius latrat quam mordet" biggrin.gif or possibly "Struit insidias lacrimis cum femina plorat" teeth.gif [cool.gif Lots of love FH [aka b*m-in-bu*ket] blush.gif

StewartG
Is there anyone else old enough to understand this? If so perhaps you could oblige with a translation I,m sure if they're anything these are not lame.
FH
No... they're definitely not lame - chosen with great care teeth.gif but it doesn't take much research to find my source of such gems biggrin.gif and I repeat, you naughty boy, wink.gif One doesn't have to be old to write in an old language. It is after all the basis of a high proportion of the words we use daily - (swear words excepted - they tend to come from OE) cool.gif Happy hunting - try G****e.com wink.gif L of L FH John Richens - please hook down the dictionary with the old crutch and help the poor child teeth.gifteeth.gifteeth.gifteeth.gifteeth.gifteeth.gifteeth.gifteeth.gif Edited by - fullharness on 23 Feb 2001 00:04:
StewartG
My knowledge of latin is non existant and I don't have a latin dictionary or the sort of crutch to reach one with so I'm guessing here... how about One can always get exited by simple fluctuations Timid dogs never die Streuth, repeated milking makes females cum (this must be from an Aussie Roman) Am I at all close? FH
Nowhere near biggrin.gif so I'd better put you out of your misery wink.gif Translations are: 1. You were stirring up billows in a ladle 2. A timid dog barks more violently than it bites 3. EFA
So there I was wondering what bunch of Anoraks could get so excited about a cam protractor (James, you use it to accurately adjust race cams on vernier pulleys). But now I've seen the CMB content I know you're not all anoraks, just a few of you are worse, much worse. Take soem advice from Chris and Alex - if you are watching videos of CMB you really do need to get out more..... Anyone know when its next on that ancient game show channle on Sky??? Swiss_Tony
Arnie I know what they are for! I wondered how you used a paper copy of one. Stick it to the pulley etc Is it accurate enough this way? If I had known I would have dropped one off on Monday. James
