Im running a standard VX with 4-1 exhaust, K&N filters, standard gearbox and 13" wheels with CR500 tyres. Has anybody had this configuration noise tested? (not sure how much difference the tyres make?) If so, what sort of reading did you get and would I get onto my local circuit at Goodwood?! I'm in the process of buying a VX and the seller is replacing the silencer and then taking it down to Goodwood to get a noise reading on it to make sure its going to be quiet enough for track days - why don't you take your car down to Goodwood and ask if they can test it for you?
