Julian Thompson
I have one of these too many - we are demo-ing this in car and also have one locked in our display cabinet which at £1100 retail is one too many, This unit has a 16Gb hard drive and will high speed rip a CD or MP3 disk onto its own internal drive in minutes. It has a built in amp, USB and memory stick. Also it has the "Gracenote" database so most CD's will have automatic titling etc the minute you whack it into the unit! Anyway, I'll take £750.00 for it, so drop me a mail or phone me on 01625 260262. Jue
tiptree
Keep looking at these, they look really good. BUT I can't see how it can be made to fit in a new E class and still have all the E class bits (phone for eg) work still. Price is really attractive Tomorrow's a good day for it! Julian Thompson
You're not wrong. E Class has a fiber optic "ring main" all around the car on which the phone is networked. Additionally, the steering controls are on a +/-4V CAN-BUS system which is linked to the car's ECU. The only thing that I have done with these is to fit the DIN sized additional set in the spare slot and make a box to redirect speaker outputs when you want to use it. Not ideal though and I think it would be better in a more "simple" car!!! Jue
