Michael Peterson
Could some kind chap tell me what a 1600 X-flow engine weighs?
I.Mupferit
Hi Michael I think the answer is "more than you can lift on your own" especially with a gearbox hanging on the end of it. smile.gifCoincidentally I was trying to find this just the other day, I know there was a posting on Blatchat last Autumn sometime which gave the weights of the 'K', X/Flow, Zetec and Vx, but I was unable to find it. You may have more luck, but the trouble is some of these threads twist & turn so much from the original entry, it won't be easy. Does this mean the snow has subsided enough for you to get in to the garage now? Cheers Brent
Michael Peterson
Hello Brent! The forcast for this weekend is into the 40's possibly 50's, and yes I will be out there! My shop is equipt with a hoist. I wanted to know for shipping as some freight services have a limit. That 5 speed box is no feather either! Cheers! Michael (still making engine noises in the garage)
I.Mupferit
Hi Michael, Just spoken to Caterham and they say, engine only with ancillaries including flywheel & clutch etc allow 120Kgs (264lbs). Hope this helps Cheers Brent
