Squeaky steering column

Recommended Posts

The squeaking on my steering column turned out to be caused by the top rubber gaiter on the firewall as it enters the engine compartment. I squirted a small amount of WD40 just inside it and it hasn't squeaked since.

Zak - There's no play in it so I hope it ain't knackered.

AVES - avoid bends? *confused* Not quite what I had in mind *wink*

Steve - I only notice it when parking 😬

Chris Cheer's - I'll try the WD40 approach.
