Stuart Wallace
I think I want to fit new dials (I fancy yellow dials)Caterham nolonger do the VDO dials my Swindon HPC has, will I need new sensors for the new dials Caterham supply? If I do need new sensors, what am I letting myself in for (apart from the £300+ the dials will cost) or should I lay down in a dark room until the urge passes? John E
I think that I would lie down in a dimly lit room and let the need pass you by. If you want VDO dials then why not contact them direct. They have an office somewhere in the Midlands and you can get the address off their web site. As far as the sensors are concerned I would assume that new dials should come with new sensors particularly if the calibration is different. My x flow water temp had an original ford sensor connected to a VDO guage. They were not matched and the sensor had to be changed. I found the VDO guys very helpful when i was trying to get the little condom bulb covers that give off a green light.
