Swiss_Tony
Does anyone know which ratios are available or the de-dion diff? Any idea which standard tin top models they are fitted to? James Su77on Se7ens
STEVE GILBERT
James I posted all this Data up a few months ago, as search isnt working set your date to 1 year and scan for Diff topics. It is all in there Steve See My Zetec Power 7 Here
Peter Carmichael
3.62 and 3.92 are the widely available ratios. 3.38 was used by the Superlight/R400 racers until they started using the new bigger slicks this year. Was fitted to a diesel Fraud. 4.1 and 4.4 also exist a special order items, but are rare as rocking horse doodah
EFA
Yep I second Peters comments. 4.11:1 and 4.44:1 are made by KAM Differentials and are distributed by Raceline - availbilty is lousy. A 4.7:1 ratio is sold by SBD though I do not know who makes it. The aftermarket CWP sets are noisy in my experience have lots of whine. Peter will tell you that lower gearing does not offer any measurable gain to acceleration. Chelspeed
Last, and probably least (helpful that is), there's also a 3.14:1 from another diesel ford sierra. The 4.7 was a joint venture between SBD and Raceline so if, perchance, you have a pathological dislike of SBD you could still go that way.

Joost M
Arnie Quote: 4.11:1 and 4.44:1 are made by KAM Differentials and are distributed by Raceline - availbilty is lousy. KAM is not the only company producing them. I you want to know more about it, ask Joachim from MOG-racing. He sells them. Regards, Joost
