I.Mupferit
Welcome to the wonderful world of 2 Ltr Zetecs. Has it got T/B's or carbs? Maybe we can persuade Chris C. to give up all ideas of his new K in favour of a Zetec. Hang on I just need to get my umbrella, there's a pig going over! metal mickey
Hi Brent. The 2.0ltr is running on twin 45 weber carbs with 60mm trumpets. I want a free flowing airfilter because the cams have been upgraded and the head gas flowed and don't want to strangle it with poor filters. Any advice? Thanks. Jeff
Metal: I have used the Pipercross PX550 filter from Demon Tweeks. It is a special order item and took some time to get. I ordered the blank base plate. The filter fit the opening formerly occupied by two K&N's. The only problem I had was the filter had to be mounted upside down because the fasteners would not clear the bonnet. Works well. My car is injected. My Zetec conversion was Raceline and I found it hard to believe that they did not have any suggestions. I think Dunnell might also have a foam filter kit. metal mickey
Jeff, Thanks for the advice on the filter-I'll have a look for it in tweeks catalogue. When I phoned them they weren't very helpful - probably an "off"day. I've also found a filter by ITG that looks promising. Thanks.
I.Mupferit
Sorry I was a bit late with this one but I was going to suggest the Pipercross filter as well. Just shows great minds think alike! Good luck with D.Tweeks Brent
