anthony1956
I dreamed of an R500 260 bhp, so someone says that's gonna be silly expensive in engine rebuilds (wasn't specific) - I gather this may be £3.8k every 20,000 road miles I have a BDR, comments there are that it's great as long as its not tweaked so that there aren;t any Cosworth rebuilds required. I don't want to buy a new car as the process seems to be like buying a bicycle, all the goodies get left off - and anyway I don't want to spend so much money on less car (ie not wishing to buy into a list of things I then want to add) I am not interested in track use. I am interested in road use - hard mountainous stuff. I don't want to modify my BDR as she is great as she is. but I have outgrown her - or my location has. "they" say don't spend on the car, buy another one. What would YOU do with 25k? on a 7 of course :-) Edited by - anthonym on 10 Jul 2003 00:27:

Dobuy
Raceline www.raceline.co.uk Duratec conversion or new car built with Duratec. 25K will get you a very decent spec new Caterham with all the goodies and a 220hp Duratec engine.
RiF
Yes for that money go for the Duratec. Speak to Chris or Peter at Raceline say I said to have a word. R500 performance, better torque and less rebuilds required. Look at CCC mag last May. Go Duratec for the latest engine technology. Richard in France Duratec engine built, bright yellow chassis finished, kevlar/carbon panels fitted, now just waiting for last few parts 😬 😬 😬.
