Tyres

My 1998 1600K ss is still running its 185/60 14 Michelin pileups and I fancy a change. I don't want to go for 13's (ground clearance). I average 2500 road miles per year and would like my new tyres to last a couple of years.

What do you recommend - Toyo's, Yokies, Bridgestones?? 🤔

I have 4 new Yokahama 21r's (185/60 14) in the garage at the moment, ready to use, but was considering changing to the new 48's this time, If you are interested email me, we might be able to do each other a favour, I'm in Wigston so not far to travel to have a chat!, the 21r's should last you 5,000 miles

ao21rs last and last, at least front tyres do. we've got 9,000 on our fronts, but with 200+ bhp, rears last about 4-5000 miles. that's with a mix of track days, a -trans-european rallye/blat, and regular blatting. perhaps with less power, ahem, wellie, the rears would last longer for me. but it's cheaper to replace two than four....i think our fronts will go to 12000 at least
