AO32 Pressures

Hi everybody

I could perhaps tell you what the french caterham racing team are doing.

I have tried them and for me it is perfect.

Sorry but the pressure given are in bar.

The calculation are made for the circuit use

with 185 60 13" yoko 032

At cold, at rear 1.5 bar, front 1.7

in order to have when hot between

1.9 and 2 bar allround

I have tested it works

If it can help

Interesting *confused* 1.5 bar is around 22 psi.

I found for my car (not very light at around 560Kg) ☹️ that 17 psi (cold) worked best on my Michelin Pile-ups (195/15/50's). I changed feet and shoes last weekend (AO32R's, 185/60/13) and guessed 18 psi, thinking that this would be on the high side.

With Oulton park on Tuesday in mind it is a damn sight easier to let the air out rather than to pump it in 😬 😬

I should quickly add that I probably don't posess the driving skill anyway to detect any change in handling that is much more subtle than a puncture 🙆🏻 *mad* 😳 😳

Mav, thats my wheels and tires you are on about isn't it 🤔 I run them at 18 psi to start with. Then when they are good and hot, adjust the pressure to suit your driving or the feedback you are getting from them. At Anglesey found dropping the fronts to about 16psi made a big difference.

Also, make sure you get them on the right corner ... they are labelled on the inside of the rim *thumbup*
