When I post in either Phoenix or Internet explorer I get some XML closing tags and other characters appearing after the red libel warning, but before the 'Post Reply to Topic' button.

 

It looks like it happens when there is a smiley in the subject - you've not got a closing quote on your image src.

Thanks very much, that one has been hard to find for quite a while. The images are all correctly defined, and I still can't see the reason for this, the ASP source looks perfectly ok, but when the generated page is viewed the extra characters appear.

 

The problem occurs in a hidden field definition and I have amended the value field to be surrounded by single quotes instead of doubles, and the problem appears to have gone away.
